My Week 30 January - 04 February 2023

A month of 2023 already gone! This was the last week.

On Monday I Earlier I called in to Neath’s brand new leisure centre that opened today - and I’m looking forward to the visiting the new library which is opening later this week . With the current Cost of Living Crisis and the crisis in the NHS it is more important than ever to have affordable and accessible leisure and sporting facilities in our communities. Have you been down yet to take a look? What do you think? https://fb.watch/it8F3tK2wn/

I supported Teachers on the picket line in Neath who are striking for fair pay and conditions, and showed my supported for UCU, PCS and all public sector workers taking action against the Tory UK and Welsh Labour Governments by attending a Trade Union rally in Swansea. https://fb.watch/itbNom1mRO/

It was so great to meet some of this year’s Equal Power Equal Voice Mentoring Programme mentees at their networking event at the Senedd today. I look forward to helping encourage and empower people through this brilliant scheme to #BeTheChange and make their voices heard!

I spoke on Radio Wales about the need for the WRU to take radical action to change the misogynistic culture within the organisation. https://fb.watch/itbWKngs1R/

I voiced my objection to plans to shut three Swansea Valley schools and create a primary superschool at a public meeting in Pontardawe.
