Sioned Williams MS, Plaid Cymru Member of Senedd for South Wales West, was delighted to welcome learners from St Thomas Community Primary School in the east of Swansea to the Senedd.

Pupils from Year 6 were visiting the Senedd for a guided tour, and Sioned Williams met them to talk about her role in the Senedd as one of their representatives and her work in the community.

Speaking after the visit, Sioned Williams MS said:

“It was lovely to meet the pupils from St Thomas Community Primary School and being able to talk to them about what it’s like to be a Member of the Senedd.

“We discussed how politics isn’t just something ‘on the news’ but how it shapes their lives – from their school building, and their local environment to things like how easy it is to get a doctor’s appointment.

“I was really interested to hear about their school council and have encouraged them to get in touch with me as one of their elected representatives, if they have any further questions.”
