Sioned Williams MS said:

“I’ve seen the wonderful work the Swansea Canal Society have done to restore the Swansea Canal at Clydach, so I was really pleased to meet the team at North Wales Wildlife Trust who have been working with them to combat invasive non-native species.

“I’ve often spoken about the wellbeing benefits of canals, and with the right plants flourishing alongside them, they can be beneficial to our wildlife too.

“The team are always open to working with other canal groups, so make sure you contact them to find out what they can offer.”
