This is the link to the Statutory Notice published by Neath Port Talbot Council aiming to close the primary schools at Godre’rgraig, Alltwen and Llangiwg, and build new large primary super school at Pontardawe.
This formal consultation is open until 14th July.
Any objections have to be sent in writing to the Director of Education, Leisure and Lifelong Learning (for attention of the Strategic School Improvement Programme team) at Civic Centre Port Talbot. SA13 1PJ or e-mailed to [email protected]
Even if you have sent in comments/objections during the previous consultation period you need to submit an objection for your views to be counted.
I will be submitting an objection as the Plaid Cymru Regional Member of the Senedd and a resident of Alltwen as I support the views of the overwhelming majority of respondents to the consultation, that shows there is very little support for the plans for a new super primary school in the community it is meant to serve. You are welcome to send me your views on this matter but please remember to also submit your own objection using the details above, if you are so minded.
