Sioned Williams MS Member of the Senedd - South Wales West

The Welsh Government has today committed to earmark £1m to spend on warm banks, following calls by Sioned Williams MS and others.

Plaid Cymru MS for South Wales West, Sioned Williams has praised Neath Port Talbot Council for its “successful implementation” of the first phase of the new free school meals policy, following a visit to Alltwen Primary school with NPT Cabinet Member for Education, Cllr Nia Jenkins. 

I recently wrote to NPT Council regarding the abandoned Reggae Reptiles business premises on Queen Street, Neath. Not only is this as a horrendous eyesore on one of the busiest streets in the heart of the town, it could pose a danger to public health and safety and to the infrastructure of the neighbouring properties. I feel this situation has been left unaddressed for far too long.

Thanks to Plaid Cymru, free school meals for primary school pupils in Wales will begin in September.

Plaid Cymru MS for South Wales West, Sioned Williams, has urged the First Minister, Mark Drakeford to “take immediate action” to ensure equality for disabled children in the childcare sector.

Sioned Williams today repeated her calls on the Welsh Government to take ‘immediate action’ to tackle what she has described as a dentistry ‘crisis’ in her region of South Wales West and across the country, following the publication of a new report by Swansea Bay Community Health Council.

After a spate of troubling incidents in and around Gorseinon in the past few months, Plaid Cymru Member of Senedd for South Wales West MS Sioned Williams recently met with the local Neighbourhood Policing Team to discuss the on-going efforts to protect and support the local community.

Plaid Cymru MS, Sioned Williams has called for immediate action to be taken to remedy “deep environmental scars” during a debate in the Senedd on coal tip safety.
