As Wimbledon Tennis Championships begin, Plaid Cymru MS for South Wales West, Sioned Williams has congratulated a group of Neath residents who have set about restoring the town's tennis courts on being recognized by the LTA (Lawn Tennis Association). at the organization's annual awards as one of the best Community Tennis Projects in the UK.

Plaid Cymru MS Sioned Williams has called on the Welsh Government and Neath Port Talbot Council to provide greater focus on Neath Town Centre in order to tackle the issue of empty shops, anti-social behaviour and reducing footfall.

The 7th – 13th of June was Carers' Week and its theme was to Make Caring Visible and Valued. Carers Week is an annual campaign to raise awareness of caring, highlight the challenges unpaid carers face and recognise the contribution they make to families and communities throughout the UK. As someone who has had personal experience of caring, I want to try and ensure that carers’ voices are heard. I was therefore keen to spent some time meeting with those working in the South Wales West region to support carers and hear about their specific needs and  issues.

Plaid Cymru MS Sioned Williams has called on the Welsh Government to ensure that rail and light rail transport options are fully explored to serve valleys communities in South West Wales as part of the Swansea Bay Metro project.

“It should be headline news!” Whether from expenses scandals to social injustice – when something isn’t fair, drawing attention to it is a good starting point in getting it addressed. But what if that “something” has been with us for years, for decades. When does it become the new normal about which ‘nothing can be done’? It’s a huge honour to have been elected as Plaid Cymru Member of the Senedd for South Wales West. Thanks to everyone who voted for Plaid Cymru in this election - many of you for the first time. I pledge to be a strong voice in the Senedd for all the communities of the Neath, Swansea, Gower, Aberafan, Bridgend and Ogmore constituencies, regardless of who residents voted for.
