After eagerly awaiting this new addition to Neath, it was a pleasure to visit Rosa’s Bakery on their second day of trading. The warm welcome was a brilliant contrast to the cold, wet weather outside. As for the food and drink? The coffee and croissant were simply among the best I've had! Definitely a place worth visiting if you're in town.
I also popped into Y Lle Da - The Good Place, Neath's first zero-waste shop. Stocked with a wide variety of goods, it is not surprising that they're becoming increasingly popular since opening several weeks ago.
Finally, I visited Queen Street Gallery in their new premises and spoke to Beth about the wide variety of exhibitions, workshops and events they're either holding or are planning. I love visiting galleries and this was no exception! Over the last five years they've shone a spotlight on local talent and provided a platform for both established and aspiring artists.
Whether new or longstanding, businesses like these and the passionate people behind them add to the character of the Neath. I wish them, and the many other great independent businesses in the town centre, the very best of luck!
