It's so exciting that the Urdd National Eisteddfod is coming to Neath Port Talbot next year!

Margam Park is a fabulous location and many of you may remember the last time it was held there in 2003.

Eisteddfod yr Urdd is Europe's largest youth festival and it's a celebration of the Welsh language, culture and the amazing talent of our young people.

As well as the competitions, there will be also be great activities such as the GwyddonLe (Science pavilion) sponsored by Swansea University.

The Urdd relies on local fundraising when the Eisteddfod visits the area, and the fundraising committee in Pontardawe are doing an amazing job from arranging events to selling calendars!

I thanked them for their work in a speech in the Senedd and praised the Urdd for reaching out to all local schools to ensure everyone can play a part in the Eisteddfod.

You can find out about everything that's happening by searching for Eisteddfod Dur a Môr Parc Margam a’r Fro 2025 on Facebook.
