My Week 14-20 November 2022

A quick overview some of things I've been doing  in the Senedd and around the region this week.

This week in the chamber I asked what actions the Economy Minister is taking to ensure equality for women in the workplace after a report showed an increase in the gap between what men and women earn in full time work.  https://fb.watch/gUQUG0hxNm/

I also spoke in a Senedd debate about the need for more Changing Places Toilets to help disabled people and their families have access to more places outside the home.  https://fb.watch/gUQ-IeJZ0Z/

In an event in the Senedd to promote Welsh wool, I met with Mair Jones from Cilybebyll and heard about her work with Wool Insulation Wales which supports Welsh wool producers and decarbonisation. I also supported the calls of Climate Cymru 's #WarmThisWinter campaign to ensure more support for those facing fuel poverty and action on insulation and renewable energy development and marked #WorldCOPDDay with Asthma + Lung UK Cymru.

Back in Swansea I met with a group of young people who are being supported by Barnardos Cymru Bloom Project to discuss their experiences as a part of my work with the Senedd’s Children, Young People and Education Committee.

On Friday I held a community advice surgery in the Phoenix Centre, Townhill to help residents with their concerns and met with Local Area Coordinator Bethan McGregor and PCSO Sam Butler.
